What Motif Is
Motif is a curated presentation of driver-focused cars. Each car is selected, grouped into a weekly theme, and shown for a fixed period of time. Motif is not an auction or a marketplace—it’s a way of considering cars in context.
The Motif Structure
Each Motif centers on a single theme—defined by driving dynamics, cultural context, or a moment in time. Over the course of 45 days, that idea unfolds through a series of weekly selections.
Weekly Themes
Each Monday, four cars are introduced together. These cars are selected to illustrate a specific idea—one may define the theme, while others offer different interpretations of it.
Curation & Selection
Every car featured on Motif is reviewed before being included. Selection is based on condition, specification, and intent—how the car fits the idea being explored. Submission does not guarantee inclusion.
Time & Availability
Cars are presented for a fixed period of time (45 days). When that window closes, they leave the site. Motif is designed around what’s current, not what’s accumulated.
Listings & Transactions
Motif does not sell cars. Each featured car links to its seller or dealer for further details. Motif exists to provide context and perspective, not to replace existing sales platforms.
Submitting a Car
Motif currently accepts submissions at no cost. Cars are considered based on how well they align with an upcoming Motif. If your car feels like a natural fit, you may submit it for consideration.
